Sydney Thunder coach Trevor Bayliss lauds Mohammad Hasnain

KARACHI: Following his maiden stint in the Big Bash League (BBL), Sydney Thunder coach Trevor Bayliss has lavished praise on Pakistan’s young speedster Mohammad Hasnain.

Before returning to Pakistan for the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Hasnain took seven wickets with a strike rate of 15.7 and an astonishing economy rate of six.

Following his remarkable performance in the BBL, Thunder’s coach Bayliss lauded the brilliance of the young pacer and believes Hasnain hopes to represent Pakistan in Australia.

“Hasnain brought a bit of pace. He brought his international experience with him, despite the fact that he is only a young man. He has pace and can bowl a decent yorker, and demonstrated that even in T20 cricket, that extra bit of pace can be difficult to play,” he said.

“I am sure Hasnain is hoping to tour Australia with Pakistan at a later date. He’d obviously come to Australia with some prior experience playing in Australian conditions,” he concluded.

Hasnain also had a dream BBL debut as the 21-years-old bowled a three wickets maiden over in his first match. He also became the first bowler in BBL history to take three wickets in the first over of his debut.
