DUBAI: India’s dynamic batter Suryakumar Yadav on Wednesday, dethroned Pakistan wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan from the top of the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings.
Following an exceptional run in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 – two consecutive half-centuries against South Africa and the Netherlands – the right-handed batter surged to the top of the rankings.
Pakistan’s wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan, on the other hand, slipped to the second spot following his struggling knocks against India and Zimbabwe.
Yadav now leads the T20I batting rankings with 863 rating points, courtesy of his valiant knock against South Africa that powered his side to a respectable total despite a horrific start.
Meanwhile, Rizwan occupies the second position with 842 points, followed by New Zealand’s Devon Conway (792) and Babar Azam (780) at the third and fourth spots respectively.
