‘Stop spreading fake news about me’ Umar Akmal

Karachi: Pakistan’s batter Umar Akmal wants people to stop spreading ‘Fake News’ regarding him.

The 31-year-old tweeted after reports emerged that he left the country to play league cricket in the United States of America (USA).

“It’s my humble request to everyone please stop spread[ing] fake news about me,” he tweeted.

The right-handed batter played a match for Northern Cricket California Association yesterday where he got out for a duck.

He represented He scored 0, 14, 7, 16 and 29 for the Central Punjab Second XI in the PCB Cricket Associations T20 tournament before deciding to go to USA.

Remember, Umar announced that he is traveling to the US for some personal meetings. He didn’t disclose the agenda of the meeting but told his fans through tweet to pray for him.

It must be noted that Akmal returned to cricket after he underwent PCB’s Anti-rehabilitation program. He was suspended for 18 months for breaching PCB’s anti-corruption. The suspension was reduced later to six month following the verdict of Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
