ICC U19 WC: Dunith Wellalage picks fifer as Sri Lanka beat Scotland

GEORGETOWN: Dunith Wellalage picked up five wickets as Sri Lanka bowled out Scotland for 178 runs and win their first match by 40 runs in ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. 

Set to chase 219, Scotland were helpless in front of Wellalage and his bowling partners. Jack Jarvis made fighting 55 with the help of three sixes and as many fours.

While batting first, Sakuna Nidarshana Liyanage helped Sri Lanka post 218. He made run-a-ball 85 laced with four maximums and three boundaries. Raveen de Silva contributed 30.

For Scotland, Sean Fischer-Keogh took three wickets while Jack Jarvis and Oliver Davidson took two wickets each.
