DUBAI: India batter Smriti Mandhana on Thursday became the leading run-scorer in the women’s international cricket, surpassing former team-mate Mithali Raj.
Mandhana, 30, has now scored 10880 runs in international cricket in her 303rd innings , moving past retired Mithali’s tally off 10,868.
She achieved the feat during India clash against Hong Kong in the Group A fixture of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup.

Mandhana hit an 124 off 64 balls before being run out in the final over as India racked up 193-5 in 20 overs.
This was Mandhana’s 18th century in international cricket. She went past former Australia captain Meg Lanning and South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, who have 17 centuries each.
Mandhana also registered her 93rd score of 50 or more, drawing level with Mithali Raj’s record for the joint-most by any player in the world.
Her 37 scores of 50 or more in women’s T20 internationals are already a record, with Australia’s Beth Mooney next on 33.

Mandhana’s 124 is the highest individual score in Women’s Asia Cup history, surpassing Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu’s unbeaten 119 against Malaysia in Dambulla in 2024.
It is also the highest score by an Indian batter in women’s T20 internationals.
Mandhana became the first Indian woman to score more than one century in women’s T20 internationals.
She is already the fastest woman to reach 10,000 international runs, achieving the landmark in 280 innings, and is the first Indian woman to score centuries in all three international formats.
