KARACHI: Sindh outclassed Balochistan by 231 runs in their opening match of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) U13 One Day tournament here on Friday.
While batting first, Sindh got the support of Abdullah who smashed 124 runs off 117 balls laced with 17 boundaries as they posted a mammoth 315-4 in 50 overs.
Abdullah Javed made 89 off 131 balls including seven boundaries to make a worthy contribution for his team.
Khan Wali, Hamza Khan, and Asim bagged a wicket each for Balochistan.
In reply, Balochistan were bowled out for 84 credits to Abdul Wahan and Mohammad Khan of Sindh as they bagged three wickets each for 27 and 30 runs respectively.
For Balochistan, Suleman scored 26 runs while Khan made 34 including seven boundaries.
In another match, Southern Punjab (SP) defeated Central Punjab (CP) by three wickets. CP put up 114-7 in 50 overs after they were asked to bat first. Ubaidullah scored 21, Ali Sabi made 23 while Faseeh contributed 25.
Abdul Rehman and Mohsin Malik took two wickets each for SP.
Set to chase 115, SP’s Babar Arshad (25) and Talal Ahmed (27) led their team to a fighting victory.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) beat Northern in another exciting contest. While batting first, KPK scored 217-9 with the help of Akbar Ali’s 50 and Zain’s 22.
Mohammad Ismail bagged three wickets whereas Mohammad Muneeb took two for Northern.
In run-chase, Northern’s batters fell short and handed success to KPK. Mohammad Shoaib scored 70 while Malik Mohammad made 24. Mohammad Sohail bagged three wickets for the winning side.
