KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Friday directed all the stakeholders to sit together and reach a consensus over the ownership of the Kaka ground situated in the North Nazimabad area after Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) lawyer rejected the land grabbing allegations levelled against Sarfaraz Ahmed by the girls’ college principal.
“Sakhi Hasan Gymkhana (Kaka) ground was given honorarily to Sarfaraz Ahmed after Champions Trophy2017 victory for establishing the cricket academy,” argued KMC lawyer in front of the court.
“Land grabbing allegations over Sarfaraz Ahmed are baseless,” he added.
Meanwhile, the report presented to the court asserted that the college administration had locked the main gate of the ground while the college vans and transportation had desolated the grassy ground.
The lawyer for Sarfaraz Ahmed Academy, Arshad Tayyab, however, suggested the college administration to give passage to the college transportation through its own gate.
At the outset of the hearing, the SHC judge proposed all the stakeholders to sit together and come up with a solution through mutual consent.
It is worth mentioning here that the principal of Government Degree Girls College North Nazimabad had alleged the Sarfaraz Ahmed Cricket Academy for occupying the college playground.
