Shan Masood clears tests after being hit on the head

MELBOURNE: Pakistan left-handed batter Shan Masood returned to the team hotel here after being hit on the head during the national team’s scheduled training session on Friday.

Earlier, a ball hit Shan on the right-hand side of his head during Pakistan’s net session at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) after which he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

As per the latest development, however, Shan has returned clear medical tests and consequently shifted back to the hotel.

“The left-handed batter sustained minor swelling from the blow but neurological observations are normal,” said PCB.

It is pertinent to mention that Shan will remain under observation and will have a concussion checkup on Saturday.
