Multan Sultans outclass Quetta Gladiators to win by 110 runs

ABU DHABI: Multan Sultans bowled out Quetta Gladiators for 73 runs to win the 25th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 by 110 runs. 
Imran Tahir bagged three wickets, Imran Khan took two wickets while Sohail Tanvir, Blessing Muzarabani, and Shahnawaz Dhani shared a wicket apiece for Sultans.
Jake Weatherald was the highest run-scorer from Gladiators with 19 runs. Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 13 runs.
Sultans’ opener Shan Masood struck 73 runs to set the tone for his team to score 183-5 in 20 overs while batting first.
Masood was the dominant force today as Sultans batted on the front foot against lower-ranked Gladiators. He smashed seven boundaries and four sixes to score 73 off 42 balls.
Sent into bat first, Masood and Mohammad Rizwan provided a strong 72 runs start to Sultans. Khurram Shahzad removed Rizwan in the ninth over after the right-handed batter scored 21 runs with the help of a boundary.
Later on, Masood had a brief 37-runs partnership with Johnson Charles who went on to score 47 spread over five boundaries and two sixes.
Charles partnered with Khushdil Shah to score 42 runs together as Sultans posted a composing total on the scoreboard. Khushdil made 20 runs off 18 balls including a boundary and a six.
Khurram bagged two wickets whilst Mohammad Nawaz, Hassan Khan and Zahir Khan took a wicket each.
With this defeat, Gladiators are now out of the PSL 6 playoffs race.
