Shaheens’ coach Ijaz confident of winning in Sri Lanka

Karachi: Pakistan Shaheens’ head coach Ijaz Ahmed is confident of winning in Sri Lanka as the side starts preparing under him for the tour at the National Stadium.

Pakistan Shaheens will play two four-day and three fifty-over games. They will leave for Sri Lanka on October 21.

“Our job is to develop players for the highest level, the players are being trained for the long form of cricket. We will make all-out efforts to win in Sri Lanka,” Ijaz said.

Batter Usman Salahuddin is looking forward to perform in the series. “Being a player, it is an important tour for me and the Shaheens. Whoever plays for the team, his performance is counted,” he added.

Meanwhile, pacer Naseem Shah opined that he is practicing for four-day cricket and is trying to bowl as much as possible in the camp.
