WATCH: Gutted Shadab Khan cries after Zimbabwe upset Pakistan

PERTH: An emotional video of all-rounder Shadab Khan has been making rounds on social media platforms following Pakistan’s upset defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12s fixture on Thursday.

In the video, the Pakistan all-rounder can be seen down on his knees and crying at the upset defeat against Zimbabwe.

One of the team’s supporting staff can also be seen tapping on Shadab’s shoulder and consoling him.

Shadab played a crucial role for Pakistan to restrict Zimbabwe to a paltry total as he picked up three wickets and conceded only 23 runs.

The right-handed batter then came out to bat at number five when Pakistan were 36/3 in the eighth over and needed a further 95 runs in 74 balls.

He then stitched an important 52-run partnership with Iftikhar Ahmed before falling to Sikandar Raza in the 14th over, while attempting to hit back-to-back sixes.

His dismissal triggered a frustrating batting collapse and Pakistan, consequently, fell just one run short to endure an upset defeat in the ongoing mega event.
