KARACHI: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise – Quetta Gladiators’ owner Nadeem Omar claimed on Thursday that former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and his counterpart Mohammad Rizwan can play together for the national team.

Nadeem, while interacting with the media at a local event here opined regarding his franchise captain Sarfaraz and claimed that both wicketkeeper batters can play at the same time in the national team.

“I think Rizwan has done wonderfully well for Pakistan while Sarfaraz has served Pakistan in a great deal and I always say that these two can still play together,” said Nadeem.

Nadeem then went on to comment on the claims regarding Sarfaraz’s struggles in playing big shots and claimed that the latter is well-experienced and capable of using the pace.

“Look, how our team was struggling against pace while Sarfaraz uses the paces and I am well aware of it. People say that he can’t hit big shots but he uses the pace as has the experience,” Nadeem shared.

The president of Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) then went on to share that an English county side will be touring the country soon to play Quetta Gladiators and Omar Associates at KCCA Stadium.
