KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed shared that he believes Mohammad Amir is a more skilful pacer than Pakistan’s current ace pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Sarfaraz, in a YouTube podcast, was asked to rate Mohammad Asif, Amir and Shaheen in light of their abilities as a pacer.
“I will put Asif at the number one position,” Sarfaraz responded.
“If you talk about skills, Amir is not playing international cricket right now. I think he should play international cricket but it is his decision. If Amir was playing right now, I would put Amir at two and Shaheen at number three,” he concluded.
It is pertinent to mention that Sarfaraz is considered one of the most successful Pakistani captains. He is the only Pakistani captain two have won two ICC trophies — the Champions Trophy and U19 World Cup.
