KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who led the Green Shirts to the Champions Trophy 2017 glory, reacted to the viral pictures of his bio in the Urdu textbook.
Sarfaraz took to Twitter in response to the pictures of his bio in Urdu textbooks making rounds on social media, expressed gratitude and termed the act a big honour for the former captain.
“Thank you! This is a big honour for me. As role models we endeavour to inspire children,” Sarfaraz wrote.
“I would always be there to play my part in these efforts,” he added.
The former Pakistan captain also mentioned the Government of Sindh and the Sindh Education Board for honouring him.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sarfaraz is the only Pakistan captain to lead the nation to two ICC titles and is also the only Pakistan captain to beat India in two ICC finals.
