LAHORE: Quetta Gladaiators’ opener Jason Roy has been fined for showing dissent at the umpire’s decision to call him out of Shaheen’s second delivery in the 20th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7 here at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Roy violated article 2.21 of PCB’s code of conduct. Roy will have to pay five percent of his match fee as a penalty.
Match referee Roshan Mahanama charged Roy for violating the code of conduct and the cricketer accepted his mistake.
It must be noted here that Gladiators lost their match against Qalandars to remain at fourth position with three wins and four defeats. They will now meet Peshawar Zalmi in their eighth PSL 7 match tomorrow [February 15].
