KOLKATA: West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd entered the record books with a hat-trick against Scotland in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup here at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.
The right-pacer took a hat-trick in the 17th over of the game, removing Matthew Cross, Michael Leask, and Oliver Davidson on the second, third, and fourth deliveries of the over to bag a hat-trick.

He then closed out the over with Safyaan Sharif’s wicket to leave Scotland in disarray.
With his heroics, West Indies sealed a 35-run victory over Scotland to start their World Cup campaign on a perfect note.
The hat-trick also helped him join an elusive list that includes several notable names, including Pat Cummins, who registered the feat twice in the 2024 World Cup.
