Records tumble during Pak-West Indies third T20I

KARACHI: Various records tumbled during the third T20I between Pakistan and West Indies; the Green Shirts defeated the West Indies by seven wickets.

Pakistan’s in-form batter, Mohammad Rizwan, became the first batter in the history to score 2000 runs in a calendar year in T20s. The batter finished the year 2021, with 2036 runs under his belt. Babar Azam, on the other hand, scored the second most runs this year, with 1779.

Babar and Rizwan, as a pair too, were splendid. The batters bagged two astonishing records, batting together. The duo became the first batting pair in T20Is to put on six century stands.

Whereas, Babar and Rizwan, also recorded the highest runs this year, in terms of partnership, with an extraordinary 1647 runs.

In the third T20I against West Indies, Pakistan recorded their highest successful run chase in T20Is; chasing 208 runs. Pakistan’s 208 was also the highest T20I total scored at National Stadium Karachi.
