Rain affects Pakistan squad’s training camp for second consecutive day

LAHORE: The heavy and persistent rainfall in the city on Sunday has affected the training camp of the Netherlands-bound national ODI squad for the second consecutive day.

According to the details, the scheduled training camp was called off due to a wet outfield at the Gaddafi Stadium which propelled the Pakistan squad to continue with the indoor practice sessions at the National High Performace Centre (NHPC).

Earlier on Saturday, the first day of the national team’s training camp was also hampered by the rain, forcing the players to train in the indoor hall of NHPC.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will play a three-match away ODI series against the Netherlands from August 16 to 21. The side will depart for Amsterdam in the wee hours of Friday, August 12.
