RAWALPINDI: As per the initiative of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 will observe ‘Pink Ribbon Day’ today for the breast cancer awareness campaign.
In the 27th match of the ongoing PSL 8, Multan Sultans lock horns with the 2017 champions – Peshawar Zalmi with the players of both teams donning pink caps and ribbons to promote awareness against the disease.
Moreover, the stumps in the Pindi Cricket Stadium were turned pink today, while the informative and awareness messages are being broadcasted on the big screens.
“In Pakistan, 1 in every 9 women may eventually develop Breast Cancer. We are happy to be partnering with Pink Ribbon to increase public awareness of Breast Cancer. Today we go pink,” wrote PSL on Twitter.
It is worth mentioning that the two former champions Sultans and Zalmi are up against each other to book their spot in the playoff as both teams have eight points each after as many matches.
