PSL 10 matches shifted to Karachi amid India-Pakistan tensions: sources

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to relocate all remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 to Karachi due to increasing tensions with India.

The decision was finalised during an emergency meeting held at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday, attended by PSL franchise owners and representatives from law enforcement agencies.

The high-level huddle was convened to ensure the safety and continuity of the tournament, which had reached a critical phase.

With growing concerns over potential security risks, the PCB, after consultation with all stakeholders, opted to move the remainder of the league to Karachi.

As a result, today’s scheduled 27th match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has been called off and will be rescheduled in Karachi.

The decision also comes amid preparations for Pakistan’s upcoming home T20I series against Bangladesh, which the PCB is keen to protect from any disruptions.

While this logistical pivot presents challenges, officials believe it is the most practical move to safeguard the remainder of the tournament and maintain momentum heading into the international calendar.

Further updates regarding revised fixtures and match timings in Karachi are expected to be released by the PCB soon.
