Nabi, Vince star as Karachi Kings knock Multan Sultans out of PSL 10

LAHORE: Mohammad Nabi’s three-wicket haul and James Vince’s classy knock powered Karachi Kings to an 87-run victory over Multan Sultans in the 20th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 clash here at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.

Chasing a daunting 205-run target, Multan Sultans crumbled under the pressure and were bowled out for a mere 117 in 16.1 overs.

The defeat marked the end of the road for the Sultans in this PSL, after they managed only one win in eight games.

Chasing a big total, Multan Sultans started poorly, losing their in-form batter Mohammad Rizwan for a golden duck in the second over.

Wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan was dismissed by Mir Hamza in the next over, leaving Multan Sultans in a tough position at 20 for 2 after three overs.

Kamran Ghulam came in to bat alongside Yasir Khan, but Yasir was quickly out after scoring 26 runs off 17 balls, thanks to Aamer Jamal.

Curtis Campher added 12 runs before being dismissed by Mohammad Nabi. Ghulam ended up being the top scorer for the losing team, hitting 29 runs off 25 balls.

Earlier, James Vince played a stunning 64-run knock, while Khushdil Shah added fireworks in the final overs to help Karachi Kings post 204-4 against Multan Sultans.
