Port Qasim announces to restore the sports department

KARACHI: The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has restored its sports department as the authority issued an official letter.

As per the latest update, the PQA has announced to reverse their decision of shutting down the sports departments and activities a month later.

In an official letter, released by the PQA, the HRM department gave reference to the authority’s previous two letters on the subject of discontinuation of the sports activities and directed the IR&W Department to continue the activities.

“This has reference to HRM Department’s letters of even number dated 12.04.2022 and 22.04.2022 on the above subject. IR&W is advised to continue sports activities under IR&W Department till further orders. This issues with the approval of the Chairman,” the letter read.

It is apropos to mention here that the PQA announced the closure of their sports department last month and offered desk jobs to the former cricketers and hockey players, based on their academic qualifications.
