PCB suspends U-13 and U-16 tournaments

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to suspend the ongoing Under 13 and Under 19 cricket tournaments following the participation of the older players.

In a press release, PCB announced the postponement of the ongoing tournaments after the board received the video evidence of elderly participants.

Following this, the PCB has decided to conduct the third round of bone age testing of all the players participating in both tournaments being held in Karachi and Multan.

After the completion of the testing, the new teams will be formed and the events are likely to restart again next week from the beginning.

Director National High-Performance Center Nadeem Khan also confirmed that all the players will undergo bone age testing, and the offending players will be evicted from the tournaments.

“The PCB will now conduct the third round of bone age testing. Any player found guilty in this round will be disqualified from the tournament,” Nadeem said.

It is worth mentioning here that until the resumption of the tournaments, all the teams will stay in Karachi and Multan where they will be allowed to train under the coaches appointed by the PCB.

The suspended tournaments are the important part of the PCB pathway cricket program.
