PCB Conditioning Camp kicks off at NHPC today

LAHORE: The players’ conditioning camp under the supervision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), kicked off at the National High-Performance Center (NHPC) today.

The conditioning camp commenced with an introductory session as the batting coach Mohammad Yousuf, bowling coach Shaun Tait and fielding coach Abdul Majeed explained the purpose of the camp to the players.

Former cricketer Mushtaq Ahmed and NHPC coach Umar Rasheed also attended the introductory session.

The first session of the camp did not include left-handed opener Fakhr Zaman, as well as right-arm pacers Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Waseem Jr. All three players, on the other hand, will arrive at the camp this evening.

Due to personal commitments overseas, Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam will join the camp on Friday, as will the leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood following his mother’s demise.

The players will then participate in the net sessions on the second day of the conditioning camp.

The national team’s batting coach Yousuf and the left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq will also engage in media interactions prior to the net sessions, tomorrow afternoon.
