PCB to appoint foreign head coach after Mushtaq’s contract ends

LAHORE: Interim head coach of Pakistan Cricket Team – Saqlain Mushtaq is all set to resign, as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) eyes to appoint a foreigner for future series.

As per the sources, Chairman PCB, Ramiz Raja consulted Mushtaq for the appointment of a new coach. Chairman PCB also sought the opinion of Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam regarding the recruitment.

Mushtaq is currently serving as International Development Coach at the High-Performance Center. He is also a favourite for the cricket team’s mentor, according to sources.

Mushtaq was the interim head coach for the home series against the West Indies. His tenure as a head coach came to an end at the conclusion of the series.
