LAHORE: The Pakistan U19 team is set to tour England for a bilateral tour in September, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday.
According to the PCB, the tour includes four One-Days and a solitary four-day fixture, set to be played from 2 to 16 September.
“The only four-day match will be played from 2 to 5 September in Arundel, while the first one-day match of the series will also be held at the same venue on Wednesday, 9 September. The second one-day match will take place in Guildford on Saturday, 12 September,” the press release statement said.
“The third and fourth one-day fixtures of the series will be played in Wormsley on 14 and 16 September, respectively,” it added.
For those unaware, this will be Pakistan U19’s first assignment after the ICC World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia earlier this year. The national team won three out of five games.
Before featuring in the mega event, Pakistan U19 also sealed the tri-series trophy in Zimbabwe, which also included Afghanistan.
The Pakistan U19 team’s most notable win was lifting the ACC Asia Cup, where they triumphed over arch-rivals India in the final. They defeated India by 191 runs, courtesy of Sameer Minhas outstanding performance.
