PCB finalises COVID-19 protocols for PSL 7: Sources

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to enforce various protocols to combat the COVID-19 outbreak during the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to sources, players will be required to undergo a three-day pre-isolation phase prior to the start of the league. The players’ families may also be barred from living with them.

Furthermore, each team must have thirteen fit players in order for the match to progress. Teams can also pick substitutes from the pool of 25 reserved players.

In the event of an outbreak, the league may be postponed for a week, with all players being quarantined for the same period of time.

The purpose of all of the protocols is to prevent PSL from being cancelled.
