ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) has finalized 25 players for the national basketball team which will participate in the upcoming four-nation basketball championship in Maldives later this year.
The national team has been selected after carrying out trials of the top players from affiliated departments, provinces, and divisions of the PBBF under the supervision of Colonel (R) Shujaat Ali.
The three-day trials were held between May 5 and 7 at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
According to the PBBF General Secretary Khalid Bashir, the players shortlisted after trials will take part in a training camp which will commence on May 10 in Islamabad.
The camp will focus on improving players’ fitness and technique for the upcoming event.
