Pakistan women’s team returns from Zimbabwe amid ‘Omicron’

KARACHI: Pakistan women’s team reached here on Wednesday after qualifying for the ICC Women’s World Cup on the basis of better ranking. 

Pakistan, West Indies, and Bangladesh were qualified for the World Cup after the Qualifying event was called off in Zimbabwe due to COVID-19’s newly discovered variant ‘Omicron’.

The national team returned to the country and now will stay in quarantine for the next three days.

World Cup is scheduled from 4 March – 3 April, 2022 in New Zealand.
