CANBERRA: Pakistan women’s cricket team held a full-strength training session on Saturday at the Manuka Oval before the final T20I of the three-match series against Australia, scheduled for January 29.
All the players of Pakistan’s T20I squad participated in the final training session held here in a bid to finish a disappointing tour of Australia on a winning note.
Pakistan players engaged in rigorous batting, fielding and bowling drills throughout the day as they gear up for the final encounter and deny Australia a chance to clean sweep the series.
It is pertinent to mention that Australia have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series after they beat Pakistan in the prior two fixtures.
The Green Shirts also had a flop show in the recently-concluded ODI series where Bismah Maroof’s side endured a series sweep by the dominant Aussies.
Furthermore, after concluding a disappointing Australia Tour, Pakistan women’s team will depart for South Africa to partake in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place from February 10 to 26.
