In a joint statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the two boards agreed on postponing the ODI series till early 2022.

The decision was taken in a long online meeting between the high-ups of the two boards, considering the health, safety and availability of the players.

As many as six players, three officials of West Indies were tested COVID-19 positive. Players include Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Justin Greaves, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell, and Kyle Mayers.
