NAKHON PHANOM: Pakistan volleyball team on Friday outplayed India 3-0 in the Asian U-16 Championship semi-final to continue their impressive run in the tournament.
Pakistan clean-swept India with a dominant display, winning straight sets with the scores of (25-16, 25-19, and 25-12) in the tournament held in Thailand.
For Men in Green, Muhammad Junaid stood out with 19 points, including 11 points from attack.
Pakistan gained 37 attack points as compared to India’s 25, dominated the net with 13 block points against India’s 4, and edged out their rivals 5-4 in service points.
Pakistan will now face Iran at the same venue on July 19 in the final.
Following the Green Team’s victory, the Pakistan Volleyball Association extended gratitude for the victory.

“Team Pakistan U-16 Men’s Volleyball continues its dream run at the 2nd Asian Men’s U-16 Volleyball Championship 2025 in Thailand by defeating arch-rivals India in the semi-final,” the association wrote.
“Stellar performances from Junaid, Faizan, Irfan, and Talha powered the Green Shirts into the Final and one step closer to glory,” it added.
Earlier, Pakistan defeated South Korea 3-0 and Saudi Arabia in dominant fashion. Saran Baig, Wahab Abdullah, Asadullah, and Mohammad Junaid were the outstanding performers in the match against South Korea.
The Green Shirts continued their winning momentum with a comprehensive win against Chinese Taipei in their third group match. With this victory, Pakistan finished as the top team of pool ‘D’.
The tournament, organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation, is being held in the Thai cities of Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi. Sixteen teams are participating, divided into four pools.
