DUBAI: Pakistan are set to face Afghanistan and England in the warm-up matches ahead of the main event of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 scheduled from October 16 to November 13 in Australia.
According to the details, International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday announced the warm-up fixtures for all 16 participating teams before their World Cup campaigns kick off.
Pakistan will be playing against England and Afghanistan on October 17 and October 19 in the warm-up fixtures, which will not carry official T20 International status, to bolster their preparations before the main tournament.
Pakistan will start its ICC T20 World Cup campaign with the blockbuster clash against arch-rival India on October 23 in the Super 12 round at the iconic MCG Stadium.
