Pakistan squad reaches Dubai for Afghanistan T20Is

DUBAI: Pakistan men’s cricket team on Wednesday reached here to play the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, commencing on March 24 in Sharjah.

The 15-member national squad along with three travelling reserves took off from Allama Iqbal International Airpot in Lahore in the evening and reached here.

The national team will then fly out to Sharjah where they will take on Afghanistan in three T20Is, scheduled on March 24, 26 and 27.

Taking to Twitter, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared pictures of the young squad here.

“We have arrived in the UAE ahead of the T20I series against Afghanistan,” wrote PCB.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that the PCB announced a fresh-look squad under the captaincy of Shadab Khan for the upcoming away assignment as the key players, including all-format captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi were rested.

Pakistan Squad: Shadab Khan (c), Abdullah Shafique, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Ihsanullah, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, Tayyab Tahir, Zaman Khan.

Reserves: Abrar Ahmed, Haseebullah, Usama Mir
