
KARACHI: The trophy for the five-match Women’s U19 T20 series between Pakistan and South Africa have been unveiled at the National Bank Stadium on Monday.
The series will commence on Tuesday, 14 July, followed by the second and third T20 on 17 and 19 July, respectively.
The fourth and fifth T20s will be staged on 22 and 24 July, respectively. All matches will begin at 7pm local time, with the toss scheduled to take place at 6.30pm.
Fans can enjoy live action at the stadium, with Zaheer Abbas and Majid Khan enclosures open to the public for free.
Pakistan will be led by Fizza Fiaz, while the visiting side will be captained by Mieke van Voorst. Pakistan, which last featured in a five-match T20 series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh, won the series 3-2.
For the forthcoming T20 series, 12 of the 17 squad members featured in the previous series against Bangladesh. Alongside captain Fizza, Aqsa Habib, Areesha Ansari, Barirah Saif, Komal Khan, Mahnoor Zeb, Memoona Khalid, Raahima Syed, Ravail Farhan, Rozina Akram, Shahar Bano and Zoofishan Ayyaz were all part of that tour.

Pakistan captain Fizza Fiaz expressed excitement about the upcoming series against South Africa, saying the team was eager to begin the home series and that playing in front of the home crowd was always special.
“We are excited to begin this home series against South Africa. Playing in front of our home crowd is always special, and the entire squad is looking forward to the challenge. The players have prepared well, and we are eager to put in strong performances in the series, ” she said while talking to PCB Digital
“Our series win against Bangladesh has given us confidence, but we know every opposition brings different challenges. South Africa are a quality side, so we will have to stay disciplined, back our skills and maintain consistency in all departments.”
