ALMATY: Pakistani athletes shone in the World Continental Championship as they bagged six medals to conclude the two-day long tournament.
Pakistani sprinter Shajar Abbas led the charts as he bagged a gold medal in the 100m race and a bronze in 200m. The sprinter also set a national record on his way to claiming the gold in the former category.
Sohail Amir, on the other hand, also claimed two medals as he bagged a silver each in 1500m and 5000m.
The renowned sprinter Abdul Mueed Baloch, carried on his winning run as he added another medal to his name by winning a bronze in 400m. Sharoz Khan, however, bagged silver in the High Jump.
