Pakistan reach Dhaka for Asian Champions Trophy

DHAKA: Pakistan hockey squad reached here on Saturday to participate in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, scheduled from December 14 to 22. 

According to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the team has reached here followed by the arrival of goalkeepers Waqar and Abdullah Ishtiaq. Visas for Amjad Ali and Mazhar Abbas are expected by Sunday evening as per informed by the PHF.

The Asian Champions Trophy features six of the best teams in Asia, including the joint defending champions Pakistan and India, Korea, Japan, Malaysia and host Bangladesh.

Pakistan will face Japan in the Asian Champions Trophy on December 14 while joint defending champions Pakistan and India will compete on December 17.
