Pakistan squad holds practice session for second England T20I

BIRMINGHAM: The Pakistan men’s cricket team on Friday, participated in an extensive training session for the second T20I of the four-match series against England, scheduled on May 25 here at Edgbaston.

According to the details, the national players participated in several fielding drills and also engaged in the net sessions.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also shared glimpses of the national men’s team’s final practice session before the second T20I against England.

“Huddle [Up]. Pakistan Team gears up for the contest at Edgbaston,” wrote the cricketing body.

For the unversed, Pakistan’s England series-bound squad reached here on Thursday evening.

The first T20I of the four-match series between Pakistan and England was called off due to persistent in Leeds on Wednesday.

The picturesque Headingley Stadium remained under covers as it rained all day long.

Taking the field’s condition and persistent rain into account, the match officials called off the T20I series opener between Pakistan and England, half an hour ahead of the scheduled time for the coin toss.

Notably, the four-match T20I series between Pakistan and England, scheduled to run from May 22 to 30, will serve as a warm-up for both teams heading into the T20 World Cup 2024 as the previous edition’s finalists will skip the warm-up matches for this year’s mega event.

England squad:
