LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to players participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 only after the conclusion of the National Champions Cup.
According to reports, PCB has decided to begin issuing the NOCs from 19 August, after the final of the four-team National Champions Cup.
The decision comes as the Champions Cup, set to be held in Multan from 11 to 18 August, will overlap with the CPL 2026, which begins on 8 August.
As per reports, the board wants players to fulfill their domestic commitments before joining their CPL franchises.
Eight Pakistan players have been signed by four CPL franchises — Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, Jamaica Kingsmen, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and Trinbago Knight Riders — for this year’s tournament, which runs until 20 September.

Six of those players — Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Usman Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, and Sufiyan Muqeem — are part of the fixed playing XIs for their respective teams in the National Champions Cup 2026-27.
Hunain Shah and Usman Tariq, the remaining two Pakistan players selected in the CPL, are not involved in the domestic competition.
The National Champions Cup forms part of Pakistan’s preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
The competition will feature four teams — Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues and Pakistan Gold — competing in a single round-robin format.
The top two teams at the end of the league stage will meet in the final on 19 August.
