ABU DHABI: Pakistan claimed two gold medals at the World Ju-Jitsu Championship 2026 at Mubadala Arena, with Abu Huraira and Muhammad Ammar making history in the Masters Duo and Duo show events.
The championship running until 9 August brings together more than 1,500 athletes from around the world, competing across the under-16, under-18, under-21, and adult divisions.
Former Asian Champions Abu Huraira and Muhammad Ammar created history by winning two gold medals in the Masters Duo and Duo Show categories.
It was Pakistan’s first-ever participation in the Masters category at the World Championship, making this achievement even more special.
Adding another honour for Pakistan, young athletes Muhammad Yousaf and Muhammad Umar secured the bronze medal in the Under-21 Duo category with an impressive display of skill, teamwork and determination.
The duo will continue their campaign tomorrow in the Duo Show category, where they will once again represent Pakistan. The nation hopes for another outstanding performance and further success.

Khalil Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, congratulated the athletes and praised their dedication.
“These victories are a proud moment for Pakistan and an inspiration for the next generation,” he said.
Tariq Ali, Secretary General Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, also lauded the athelethes for their achievements.
“The historic achievements reflect the hard work, commitment, and growing strength of Pakistan’s Ju-Jitsu athletes at the international level,” he said.
