Pakistan loses to Germany in Junior Hockey World Cup

BHUBANESWAR: Germany beat Pakistan by 5-2 in their first match in the Junior Hockey World Cup here on Wednesday. 

Germany launched an attack on Pakistan from the very start as Michel Struthoff struck the first goal in the opening minute of the game. Robert Duckscheer scored a goal in 14th minute to take a 2-0 lead for Germany.

In the 18th minute, Abdul Hanan scored for Pakistan to make the score 2-1. The very next minute, Maximilian Sieburg struck another goal to make it 3-1 in favour of Germany. Benedikt Scwazhaupt made it 4-1 in the 22nd minute of the game.

Hammad Anjum scored the second goal from Pakistan in the 49th minute but Germany once again scored in the 54th minute to make the scoreboard read 5-2. Duckscheer scored two goals.
