TRINIDAD: Unchanged West Indies have won the toss and opted to bat first against Pakistan in the second Test at the Queen’s Park Oval on Sunday.
The visitors made four changes to their playing XI from the first Test, with pacer Mohammad Abbas left out after captain Babar cited the conditions.
Pakistan handed debuts to Ubaid Shah and Awais Zafar, while Abdullah Shafique and Sajid Khan also returned to the lineup. Meanwhile, Aamer Jamal, Khurram Shahzad, and injured Shan Masood were left out.
West Indies lead the two-match series 1-0 after defeating Pakistan by 90 runs in the opening Test at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
A victory or a draw in the fixture would secure West Indies’ first Test series over Pakistan in 26 years. The Men in Maroo last won a Test series against Pakistan in 2000.
