DUBAI: Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy in 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Tuesday.
The security in Pakistan has been improved in the recent past with several teams having toured the cricket-loving nation. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be hosting the first ICC event since 1996. They last hosted ICC Cricket World Cup in 1996.
Champions Trophy was eliminated from ICC’s Future Tours Program 2018-2023. The mega event has been added once again in Future Tours Program 2024-2031. Pakistan won the event’s last edition in 2017, beating arch-rivals India in the final at The Oval.
