Pakistan delegation leaves for Qatar to attend 72nd FIFA Congress

KARACHI: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) delegation under the presidency of Chairman of Normalization Committee (NC) – Haroon Malik has left for Qatar to attend the 72nd Congress Meeting of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

The Pakistani delegation, led by Haroon also comprises other members including Shahid Niaz Khokhar and Haris Azmat.

According to the details, the delegations will discuss the issue of ending the suspension from the country and also be participating in the draws of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.

“Pakistan will discuss the issue of ending the suspension of football in the FIFA Congress,” Haroon said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PFF is inching closer to the uplifting of the suspension imposed by FIFA as in the latest development, the negotiations between FIFA’s nominated NC and the government have been successful and the Board of Revenue Punjab has returned the control of the PFF house to the NC.
