RAWALPINDI: Pakistani cricketers including Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Iftikhar Ahmed and others wished the entire Muslim community on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a video released on the official social media platforms by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Pakistani cricketers extended their wishes and gave important messages to the nation on Eid.
Pakistani skipper Babar, who scored a magnificent century in the second PAK vs NZ T20I, also took the opportunity and wished the whole Muslim community on the behalf of his entire team.
“A very happy Eid to all of you from my side and on the behalf of my entire team,” said Babar.
“Hope that all of you will enjoy this day with your loved ones, with your elder ones and will take care of them and also hope that you will keep on supporting the Pakistan team,” he added.
Besides Babar, Pakistan’s T20I vice-captain Shadab, ace pacer Shaheen, Iftikhar, Imad Wasim, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf also wished ‘Eid Mubarak’ to all the Muslims around the world.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan are hosting New Zealand for a five-match each T20I and ODI series.
The home side currently lead the five-match T20I series 2-1 with one game to spare.
