BHUBANESWAR: Pakistan team beat Chile by 3-0 and Canada by 1-0 in Junior Hockey World Cup’s practice matches.
Pakistan Junior team’s practice sessions were in full swing before they take on Germany in the first match of the main event on November 24.
Team captain Rana Waheed said his boys gained immense confidence after winning both of their practice matches.
“We are off to a good start in the event but I know the main event is different from this. Our practice for the matches is strong and we believe in ourselves,” the Waheed said in a statement released by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).
“Boys are confident now after winning two practice matches against good teams. We are looking forward to executing our plans against Germany in the first match,” he added.
Pakistan will face Germany on November 24 at 11:30 (PST). They will next play against Egypt on November 27 and Argentina on November 28.
