The fourth T20I of Pakistan vs New Zealand series was underway here at the Pindi Cricket Stadium before a heavy hailstorm took the field in its grasp in the 19th over of the first innings.

New Zealand had accumulated 164 for the loss of five wickets when the downpour commenced in the 19th and continued to pour the field, resulting in the action being called off.

Taking to Twitter, the PCB confirmed the aforementioned news.

Earlier, Imad Wasim’s sensational opening spell dented the touring side’s flying start and powered Pakistan to hold them at 54/3 in the seventh over.

While the touring side was losing wickets at regular intervals, their opener Chad Bowes was standing his ground firmly and was ticking the scoreboard.

The right-handed batter scored a magnificent half-century before finally falling victim to Pakistan’s ace pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. He scored 54 off 38 deliveries, hitting seven boundaries and a six.

Following his dismissal, Mark Chapman stood up for New Zealand and took them past the 150-run mark amid his 56-run partnership with Rachin Ravindra, who perished in the 19th over after scoring eight off 12.

Chapman remained the top-scorer for New Zealand with an unbeaten 42-ball 71 with the help of 10 boundaries and a six.

Imad led the bowling attack for Pakistan with 3/19 while Shaheen and Haris Rauf made one scalp each.

The Green Shirts lead the five-match series 2-1 and will now be setting their sights on the final match to complete the series triumph.
