PAK v AFG: Players to report at NCA on Tuesday before flying out to UAE

LAHORE: Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan will report at National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Tuesday ahead of their departure for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

Pakistan will play three T20I matches against the neighbouring country in Sharjah, starting on March 24. The remaining two matches will be played on March 25 and March 27.

According to the details, Pakistan Cricket Board instructed the players to report at NCA in Lahore on March 21 (Tuesday) as the national squad will leave for UAE in the wee hours of Wednesday. Skipper Shadab Khan will also hold a press conference on the same day.

It may be noted here that Pakistan announced a fresh-look squad under the captaincy of all-rounder Shadab and rested the key players, including all-format captain Babar Azam, for the forthcoming series.

Apart from Babar, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Fakhar Zaman have also been rested in order to strategically manage their workloads.
