The second Test of the three-match series between Pakistan and England, scheduled at the National Stadium, Karachi, is likely to be shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Pakistan will host England for a three-match Test series, part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), next month.
The Test series will run from October 7 to 24 with matches scheduled in Multan, Karachi and Rawalpindi respectively.
However, due to the construction work underway at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 preparations, it is expected that the second Test will be moved to the UAE.

Remember, the second Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh was also relocated from Karachi to Rawalpindi due to the same reason.
“Due to the deployment of heavy construction equipment and the need to adhere to tight redevelopment schedules for the National Bank Stadium, which is being prepared for next year’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board, in consultation with the Bangladesh Cricket Board, has decided to move the second ICC World Test Championship fixture to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium,” the PCB stated in a press release.
Sources further claimed that it is unlikely to host two Test matches at the Pindi Cricket Stadium due to the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government (HoG) meeting in Islamabad on October 15-16, coinciding with the schedule for the second Test between Pakistan and England.
It is worth mentioning here that Abu Dhabi remains the sole venue in the UAE as the country will be hosting the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in October.
