LAHORE: The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, and his counterpart from New Zealand, Martin Snedden, met and agreed on a tour to Pakistan for New Zealand next year.

The two nations will compete in two Tests and three ODIs. Soon after, in April, 2023, the Black Caps will be touring the country again to play five T20Is and as many ODIs.

PCB and New Zealand Cricket (NZC), will announce the final dates of the tour soon.

On this occasion, Chairman PCB, thanked the touring board, while confirming that the meetings with the officials of touring nation’s board, were meaningful.

“I am grateful to Martin Snedden and his board; and also pleased with the meeting’s outcome,” Ramiz said.

“This announcement reaffirms Pakistan’s status as a major cricketing nation,” he added.

On the other hand, Chief Executive Officer of NZC, David White confirmed the meetings between Ramiz and Snedden in Dubai were fruitful and constructive.

Taking to Twitter, the PCB announced the New Zealand’s tour to Pakistan.

“Brace yourselves! New Zealand to tour Pakistan for two Tests and three ODIs in December/January 2022-23 and will return in April 2023 for 10 white-ball matches. Exciting, right?”, the cricket board wrote.

Earlier, New Zealand’s tour to Pakistan was cancelled at the 11th hour earlier this year. The touring nation had withdrawn from the tour citing security concerns. The tour had three T20Is and as many ODIs.
